Reminisence Of a Deliciously Lived Life.

Oil canvas

35 x 35 cm

2025

In this painting, I wanted to capture how I’d like to be remembered after I’ve passed, using elements representative of my life such as the books that have inspired me, memories of countries I’ve visited, my dazzling pleasers, and how these have led me to blossom and embrace my femininity. To let go of my constant pursuit of perfection and embrace what makes me feel alive.

Dual Oscilation

Oil canvas

100 cm

2024

My piece ‘Dual Oscillation’ is a self-portrait that illustrates the duality that we, as women, possess. An instinctive and powerful being that longs to express itself without restrictions, a creative force that is often suppressed by our darker side, which harbors fears, expectations, and often wants to adhere to the cultural norms that teach us to fit into predefined molds, leading us to self-sabotage out of doubt and fear of judgment. The oscillation between these two forces is not only a challenge but also a source of power and creativity. By accepting all facets of ourselves, we can find the strength to move forward and create from a place of truth.

The Chaos Of Clarity

Oil canvas

35 x 35 cm

2025

Feminism has taught me a lot, I have realized I am not crazy every time I witness sexist situations or representations of women as objects. It has opened my eyes in many different ways, I have felt a lot of emotions; including anger.
It has been a battle between the old me, who wants to fit into sacrificing my believes and not to making other people feel uncomfortable by showing my frustration or speaking my mind. And the new me, who has become aware on how women have been abused and manipulated with romantic love stereotypes for many years.
I decided to make a self-portrait showing that fury, allowing me to embrace it and accept it in order to move forward and heal. As Gloria Steinem says ‘The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off’.

Kate's Resilience

Oil canvas

81 x 60.8 cm

2023

When I met Kate, I was impressed by her energy, it seemed to me like a genuinely nice and kind person. We got along immediately, as if we have known each other for a long time. She shared her life story with me, how she had healed her wounds, and strengthened her relationship with her mother. We’re both an only child, so we could also feel identified with that.
Her tattoos are full of stories, but the one that captured my attention the most was the one with the lotus flowers that she has on the back part of her arm, when I asked her for it’s meaning she told me that it came from the capacity they have to arise from deep waters, as a metaphor of the resilience we can have as humans.

Pitzu.

Oil canvas

100×180

2020

This is the portrait of a women named Anna Lucia, known as Putzu. One day I was walking downtown and I passed by a craft market. I saw her in the distance and she caught my attention because of her looks and especially the strength and freedom she projected, I couldn´t help approaching her.
I continued my way with the idea in my head of how wonderful it would be to make a portrait of that girl with so much personality. A few days later, while discussing it with a friend of mine, she turned out to know her and that’s how I was able to connect with Putzu to make her portrait.
Knowing her confirmed what I already suspected, Putzu is a free soul, she travels, dances, paints and puts her spirit in everything she does, I will never forget how inspired I felt the day I met her.

Maite.

Oil canvas

40 x 30

2020

Oil canvas

40 x 30

2020

I met Lia Tonalli when she moved into the same building as me. We quickly started talking and became friends. I was quite impressed by the freedom with which such a young woman lived her life.

From a very young age, she felt the need to help other women find their wisdom and personal mastery, so she decided to create her project, ‘Wild Woman,’ in which she helps other women connect with themselves through dance, movement, and introspection. Looking within ourselves at what we like and what we don’t, our light and our shadow.

Women have been led to believe that dancing in a certain way is bad; hip movement and openness are frowned upon. But sexuality is life energy; it is something natural, and we should allow ourselves to feel it, to inhabit it, because it is inspiration, it is life. We should embrace it to create, transform, empower ourselves, and liberate ourselves.

Sensuality, willpower, and grounding are the first three chakras that society has encouraged us to block. Closing our eyes and standing barefoot on the earth helps us reconnect with them.

I decided to paint her on a round canvas, placing her spiral tattoo in the center of the piece because it’s a symbol of Mother Earth; it also signifies evolution, cyclicality, movement, and transformation.
